Hoops and Yoyo on Thanksgiving Friday TV

Ok, I know we’re all getting ready for Turkey Day but Friday looks like a winner this year with the Hoops and Yoyo special on CBS @ 8pm Central. Come on, Peeps, you know Hoops and Yoyo are zippy fun. And, as it turns out, I’m going to need something funny to watch while I’m dealing with our Razorback football team sinking in the mire this year.
So, happy viewing one and all…Charlie Brown, Hoops and Yoyo and some leftovers will make Thanksgiving Friday a blast.
Now, it’s back to making my shopping list. I’m going to make a nice, rustic chicken-veg soup this week and I’ll be needing zucchini to go with my fresh Rosemary.
My favorite recipe book for this is ” The Soup Bible”, a Barnes & Noble book that is a big, colorful compendium of soup recipes from around the world.

Onward and upward,
🙂 Meg

  1. Ah, a friendly hand reaches out of my past and taps me on the shoulder. Yes, hello Clif ! I’ll get an email off to you pronto se we can catch up. It’s been a lot of years and miles between us so I can’t wait to hear how your life has been. It seems we share quite a few things, unfortunatly Fibromyalgia and arthritis are two.

So, Huzzah ! Great things are afoot already at the start of 2013. Get your stories ready, I’m a happy listener.
    Great to hear from you,
    😉 Meg

  2. Hi, Meg, It’s been a very long time. You probably don’t remember me, but my name is Clif Mayhugh. I’m a musician from the old days in Cincinnati.
I was thinking of you and did some searches and shazam, there you were all over the place.
It looks like you’ve had a very busy life so far. I’m so sorry about the MS and you’re not playing. I had to stop because of my heart, Fibromyalgia, and arthritis.
I have always remembered you fondly. I hope you are doing well and that you would consider getting back to me when you have a chance, if you want to catch up.
    Best wishes, Clif

  3. Dear Susan,
As the Wizard of Oz was wont to say, “Well Bust My Buttons !”. I got a bit teary eyed there for a minute and can’t thank you enough for your sweet words and gentle nudge to get back to doing something with my music. Have a super start to 2013 and stay cozy. Lady Amber is awaiting her huntsman as we speak 😉

  4. Oh, my dear lady, your music has once again carried me through harrowing times. I cannot tell you of the great joy that fills my heart when I hear your voice, your songs, your guitar … you’ve made my life a better place to be for the last few decades! Heard your “Elf Glade” first at an SCA event, being played by a merchant there. I bought every cassette of yours he had: all of TWO. “Captain Jack and the Mermaid” and “Dream of Light Horses.” I have, of course, purchased the 20th Anniversary CD, and all your other releases on CD, and watch I-Tunes and Amazon to see if there are other tunes released … but not yet. I will continue to listen to what I have, and wait, albeit impatiently, for Dream of Light Horses cuts that didn’t make it to release yet. I would most look forward to “Lady Amber” and your version of “Rollin’ Down to Old Maui” — and I think I like your version better than the author’s, or any other I have heard. Wishing you all health and happiness, in this new year and all others!
