Sixty-five years ago today, Toho Studios introduced the world to the giant lizard GODZILLA, which premiered in Japan on Nov. 3, 1954.
Make plenty of popcorn, grab your stuffed Mothra, turn out the lights and binge watch with me into the wee hours.

Share your decorations with me and what you give to the Halloweenies. We give out Kit Kat and Reece’s cups. It’s below 40 tonight so I don’t expect a lot of visitors. I hope some come out with homemade costumes, those are the best !
Here’s my front door pumpkin head and flag.

If you love Chinese Kung Fu movies, twisted humor, great special affects, incredible action, weird and wonderful directing with love and inner strength triumphing over all.. Then this is the film for you.
Why is it one of my all time favorite flicks ? Because I find it unique and because it mashes together all the fun of the old Kung Fu movies with plot themes of Chinese mythology. The characters are surprising and weird. The choreography of fight scenes is done from unusual camera angles.
Written, directed and acted by Stephen Chow, you can see the best version… In the original Canton with English subtitles.
Yes, yes.. It is violent, and I usually avoid violence in my movies, but it is done with a purpose, much like the Kill Bill films.
Am I biased because this movie’s plot weaves around a humorous take on Buddhist martial arts.. Definitely !
So, if you get Netflix, I highly recommend this movie. You can also find it available on other platforms.
Come back and tell me what you think after you’ve watched “Kung Fu Hustle”.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I may be late to the party but I’ve just discovered a Netflix Original animated show, “Larva Island.” I won’t even try to explain it, just watch if you can…. And do it when you’re not drinking milk or you’ll blow it out your nose 🤣
